Specifications for Spatial Vision Robotics

System Accuracy

Maximum vision accuracy is ± 0.5 mm resolution in field of view. Spatial Vision Robotics software has 0.10 sub-pixel accuracy. Scalable system accuracy consists of:

See www.universalrobotics.com/3D for more information on calculating your specific system accuracy.

Calibration

Calibration of internal and external camera parameters from multiple images; correction of lens distortions; transformation into world coordinates; rectification of images; and hand-eye calibration.

Speed

System speed is a function of the robot chosen, the motion required, and other factors. In general, Spatial Vision Robotics with a modern robot can identify and move 8 -11 objects per minute. Throughput is enhanced approximately 25% when integrated with Universal Robotics Autonomy.

For Spatial Vision Robotics initial find of one object:
6 DOF in ROI @ 70% Full Frame = 700 ms
6 DOF in FOI @ 50% Full Frame = 400 ms

6 DOF means identifying six degrees of freedom of objects as X, Y, Z, Rx, Ry, Rz. ROI means region of interest that contains objects to be identified. Objects are contained are within 50% or 70% of the full frame of the live feed. Speed is estimated with recommended computer configuration.
