Date of Release:
January, 2012Mixed SKU Random Depalletization
This demonstrated fully random multi box size depalletization. This version of Spatial Vision Robotics expands the application to accommodate mixed box loads. The system is fully automated. The sensors recognize the box and it’s random position then drives to the pickup point and moves the box. This is an excellent solution for random pallet loads.

August, 2011Automatically Depalletizes Random Boxes
In this demonstration, Spatial Vision Robotics 2.2 (MotoSight 3D Spatial Vision) is using inexpensive 3D imaging sensors to locate in real-time the centroid of randomly-placed boxes. It is integrated with a Motoman MH50 robot equipped with a vacuum end effector to pick up the dynamically placed boxes and set them on a conveyor. The system is handling nine boxes per minute.

September, 2011Real-time Gesture Control using the 3D Point Cloud
Engineers at Universal Robotics are coupling real-time sensor data with robot control to improve flexibility in automation. One area of exploration is human-robot interaction. In this demonstration, human gesture is mirrored by the movement of an industrial robot.
Date of Release:
August, 2011Demonstration of 3D Stereo Vision Dense Point Cloud
Spatial Vision allows for the calibration of loosely placed pairs of cameras. One of its tools outputs a 3D Dense Stereo Point Cloud. As seen in this demo, it affords a high degree of resolution and could be used as middleware to combine gesture recognition with on screen control, allowing for the development of Natural User Interfaces.

September, 2011Random Box Depalletization
Yaskawa America’s Motoman Robotics’ MH50 robot moves boxes in various orientation at arbitrary locations using MotoSight 3D Spatial Vision. The product features Universal Robotics Spatial Vision Robotics software. The software can move boxes ranging in size from 6 to 48 inches, placed in random locations, at a rate of up to 12 boxes per minute. The system uses Logitech 9000 webcams and a Microsoft(r) Kinect sensor.
Date of Release:
October, 2011Full Pallet Depalletization
Spatial Vision Robotics 2.2 can handle the full spectrum of pallet loads, from tightly packed to randomly placed. The sensing system locates the box and moves it, period. This hand held video captures it live.
Date of Release:
September, 2011Random Bag Picking
Random Bin Picking solutions deliver scalable real-time robotic 3D guidance at up to 12 parts per minute with unprecedented recognition capability, from complex parts to difficult-to-see Mylar, black or clear bags
