This calculator allows you to quickly determine what camera type and work cell positioning is necessary to solve your robot vision application. Use of the calculator will save hours of computation time and give you a easy way to compare different approaches to the solution. Simply input key information to define the workcell matrix and the calculator will output the required camera resolution and positioning for success.

The tool is perfect for vision, application, and system integration engineers working with industrial vision applications that may require true stereopsis (3D) solutions. The output visually describes where to place pairs of cameras for the best accuracy given the input parameters, as well as defines the 3D accuracy expected given specific camera resolution and focal length.
